Dr. Arturo Soto-Nevarez
Dr. Soto-Nevarez began providing PCIT in 2019 as a doctoral student at DePaul University, delivering it both in person and by telehealth. He has since brought PCIT to families in a university clinic, an outpatient mental health program, and a neurobehavioral care center, where he also supervised doctoral students.
What keeps him in this work is helping parents build real confidence at home, and the moments when a child, unprompted, does something sweet for their parent during play. He has served bilingual and Spanish-speaking families throughout his career.
